I am an experienced medical homeopath and herbalist who uses a combination of approaches to help people with their health and wellbeing issues. I treat both mind and body in a way designed to work alongside the normal medical approach, by addressing the other aspects
In this fast-changing world we see disease patterns changing for the worse. The recurring winter virus; deep serious disease (e.g. heart/nervous system), rising co-morbidity (having more than one illness); the quantity of pills output by doctors; iatrogenic disease; infertility; ebbing vitality… it's not good. This used to be offset by increasing longevity but no longer. Of the various slow calamities we face, a big one we're not told about is our failing health
Why are we deteriorating like this? Are we not being cured? What is it that needs curing anyway? Is it just due to our external environment or is it internal too? What to do?
For sure, the human organism is complex beyond our understanding and has always occupied us. Today's challenging and chronic disease reality has also become a business commodity, and healthcare a readymade organ via which to exploit it
Interest in 'complementary' medicine (anything non-conventional) has been on the up for a while now, for various reasons including the above. Most such treatments predate modern medicine and also share a wider understanding than is allowed by the medical establishment. Most notably they acknowledge 'energy'; the fact that we are more than just a physical mechanism. They tend to be based on a fuller philosophy and set of principles than is taught in medical schools
On the back of my own experiences with serious illness I stopped working in conventional medicine and retrained in medical herbalism, healing and homeopathy. I use these now, together with nutritional advice, with my patients. The idea is to cover both the physical and the non-physical. For all the negative propaganda it attracts these days, I have found homeopathy to be the most useful of these tools so if I had to choose just one, it would be that
